Local Trainings in Partner Countries

Published by admin on

Following the international training in Vrnjačka Banja, local trainings were organised in each participating country during September and October 2024. These activities were conducted in close cooperation between NGO organisations and sport clubs, associations and federations, ensuring strong cooperation between the youth and sport sectors.

Two local trainings were implemented in each partner country, and each training lasted two days. The first local training focused on how to set up a local Sport Youth Council. Its aim was to transfer the knowledge and skills gained during the international training to the local level and to present the Sport Youth Council as a practical tool for empowering youth participation. The training also supported local young people and members of sport federations, clubs and organisations in understanding the purpose, structure and role of Sport Youth Councils.

The second local training focused on how to create a Strategy and Action Plan for the Sport Youth Council and Sport Youth Board. Its aim was to equip future SYC and SYB members, as well as representatives of sport organisations, with the knowledge and skills needed for running, maintaining and developing these youth participation structures. Participants worked on identifying priorities, defining objectives and planning concrete actions for the future work of the councils and boards.

Each local training gathered 20 participants per country, including future members of the Sport Youth Councils and Sport Youth Boards. These activities were an important step in bringing the P2P project closer to young people in their own communities and preparing them to take an active role in sport governance and decision-making processes.
